Sélavy by Di Donna announces Palm Beach residency at Sotheby’s gallery at The Royal Poinciana Plaza
Sélavy brings a shoppable salon of notable art and design to Palm Beach, following the success of its Southampton location

Sélavy by Di Donna is pleased to announce its Palm Beach residency at Sotheby’s gallery at The Royal Poinciana Plaza. This collaboration brings together the legacy of the historic auction house and the ethos of Sélavy by Di Donna, an online salon of art and design with a storefront vitrine in Southampton, founded last year by Christina Floyd Di Donna and Emmanuel Di Donna. The Sélavy at Sotheby’s Palm Beach salon is available to explore and purchase online and in person at Sotheby’s gallery at The Royal Poinciana Plaza from February 13 to March 5, 2021.
The winter residency at the Sotheby’s gallery is a homecoming for Sélavy co-founder Christina Floyd Di Donna, who was raised in Florida and who, along with her husband, Emmanuel Di Donna, began her career at Sotheby’s. “I am delighted to bring Selavy to the Palm Beach collecting community—and I am very excited for my friends, as well as the local art and design enthusiasts, to discover the unexpected combinations that are the hallmark of Sélavy,” said Christina Floyd Di Donna.
The presentation embodies the spirit of Sélavy by Di Donna: presenting curated vignettes that combine blue-chip works across time periods and mediums, and cultures with modern design items. Styled as an inspiring interior, it presents the eclectic vision of an imagined collector, juxtaposing Surrealist, modern, and contemporary paintings, prime examples of American and European mid-century modern and contemporary design, and whimsical objects by some of the most influential artists of the past century.

• Willem de Kooning’s Untitled VIII, 1983, a stunning late painting by the Abstract-Expressionist artist
• Georgia O’Keeffe’s Calla Lillies on Red, 1928, a vibrant example of the artist’s flower paintings

• A pair of monkey tables by Francois-Xavier Lalanne, 2002, in bronze and glass

Founded in 2020 by Christina and Emmanuel Di Donna, the founders of Di Donna Galleries on Madison Avenue, Sélavy by Di Donna presents curated vignettes that combine fine art and design spanning mediums, time periods, and cultures.
