Executed circa the 1950s. Cache-radiateur “Tour Eiffel” is one of Jean Royère’s many furniture designs that feature crossed iron bars with spherical joints, a motif that Royère began incorporating into his pieces in 1939. Royère cleverly named the cross-bar design after the Eiffel Tower, the iconic Parisian structure that introduced iron as an aesthetic adornment rather than a strictly industrial material.
