This work is accompanied by a copy of the certificate of authenticity issued by Frances Archipenko Gray dated June 6, 2017. Alexander Archipenko’s Spring Torso epitomizes the grace of the female form. The figure’s exceptionally long legs emphasize the elegance of her slender silhouette, while her twisting body accentuates her curves. The sinuous contrapposto position of the figure recalls the timeless beauty of classical Greek and Roman statues and the polished bronze medium reflects light off the surface of the sculpture, dazzling the viewer and adding an element of luxury.Provenance
